Job Title:Front Desk Receptionist

Job Status: Permanent/PartTime 7:30-11:30 Monday through Friday

Job Description:

  • Greeting and welcoming guests as soon as they arrive at the front lobby of the main building.
  • Maintains school security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk and provides guest badges and oversees building entry log and student sign out.
  • Contact the appropriate person and office to escort any/all guests into the school.
  • Arranges all visitors that will be entering a building on campus.
  • Answers, screens and forwards incoming phone calls.
  • Determines the best administrator/staff member to assist with guests calling the school/needing assistance.
  • Provides basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude/approach when dealing with conflict resolution situations.
  • Performs a variety of school functions: records tardy, daily attendance, prepares mail, distributes materials, maintains a filing system, monitors/orders office and supplies, assists with photocopy work, faxing and general typing.
  • Use Facts Student Information System
  • Supports the school nurse as needed.
  • Maintains communications with teachers and cafeteria staff during the school day
  • Assist with outbound mailings by stuffing/sealing envelopes

Mental/Physical Demands:

  • Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion
  • Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis
  • Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, reading

If the position is offered, the candidate will be required to complete the “Protecting God’s Children” training through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Additional information regarding this training can be found here .
