  • Greet staff, students, and visitors in a courteous manner.
  • Provide accurate directions to locations throughout the building.
  • Ensure that tardy students properly enter their student ID number into the computer upon entering the building.
  • Monitor school cameras to identify security concerns.
  • Accurately communicate security concerns via hand-held radio.
  • Be highly visible to students; be approachable and receptive.
  • Encourage appropriate interaction among all students in the hallways and pathways.
  • Create an environment in which individual differences are respected.
  • Confront and document inappropriate behavior (i.e., behavior inconsistent with Grand Blanc Board of Education policies).

  • Observe and report student behavior which may indicate personal, social, or academic problems.
  • Be informed about school policies and student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.
