Job description

Wage:$10/hour - After 3 months pay can increase to $11

Part-time, non-benefitted, non-exempt

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is a year-round and part time. It requires a flexible work schedule that may include various shifts, such as: early mornings, midday, and evening shifts. Saturdays are also possible. The ideal candidate would also have the flexibility to be a sub for other shifts. Open until filled. Contact Andrea Hemenway with any questions 801-785-6172.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

Greeting all patrons

Providing general information on recreation activities, programs and facilities

Answering incoming phone calls and transfer to proper staff when necessary

Take registrations for recreation programs and receipt and receive monies

Filling out daily cash reports and balance cash receipts when needed

Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the Recreation Center

Attend staff planning, training and development meetings

Communicate with other staff in order to successfully resolve issues and problems in a timely manner

Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Diploma


Skills/Abilities:

Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required

Good public relations skills

This position may require use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience working in an office setting in a recreation or community center setting preferred but not necessary.
