Job Title : Front Desk Receptionist

General Summary : A position responsible for front office processes in a Surgical Center. This role requires strong customer service skills with preferred experience in a medical office setting.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Greet patients entering the physician practice.
  • Answer office phones, schedule appointments, confirm appointments, and reschedule as necessary.
  • Check in patients, collect accurate patient demographics, enter data into the electronic system, and verify insurance information.
  • Assist in checking out patients, including processing referrals and scheduling follow-up appointments.
  • Collect co-pays and post charges.
  • Handle charge entry and patient balance processing.
  • Distribute information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and general information about the practice.
  • Explain and enroll patients in the patient portal.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Education: High school diploma/GED required ; completion of a medical office assistant program preferred.

Experience : 2 years of experience in customer service preferred; medical office experience preferred.
