At our rapidly growing practice, Cardiovascular Specialists of New England, we are seeking a highly motivated Front Desk Receptionist to join our team! The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office. The receptionist is responsible for managing appointments, coordinating patient inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in various administrative tasks. You will report directly to the Office Manager. Responsibilities include warmly greeting patients and visitors, overseeing front desk operations of the New Hampshire office, assisting with the check-in process, verifying patient information and insurance details, managing the appointment calendar using scheduling software, coordinating appointments for new and returning patients, answering incoming phone calls and responding to emails, addressing patient inquiries, collecting and updating patient demographic and insurance information, verifying insurance coverage, maintaining and updating patient records, organizing and filing medical documents, keeping the waiting area clean and organized, monitoring patient flow, entering patient information into the electronic health records system, working closely with medical staff, maintaining patient confidentiality, and handling patient concerns professionally. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, proven experience as a receptionist or in customer service preferably in healthcare, familiarity with medical terminology, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in scheduling software and EHR systems, excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, empathetic approach, professional appearance, and Athena experience preferred. Work location is Manchester or Londonderry, New Hampshire office.
