Job Description

The Front Desk employee is the face of the Retro Fitness outlet; they are the first person members see when they enter. This role requires a team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills. The employee wears many hats while ensuring a positive member experience.

Requirements
  • A positive, upbeat personality
  • Effective communication with customers, coworkers, and managers

  • Punctuality, responsibility, attention to detail
  • CPR/AED training preferred
  • Prior sales experience in retail preferred
  • Successful completion of all Retro University courses
Environment
  • Work inside the Retro Fitness outlet
  • Hours may vary, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
Supervision

Supervised by the Retro Fitness General Manager

Responsibilities
  • Greeting and checking in members
  • Resolving member issues
  • Membership sales and retention
  • Follow-up with prospects
  • Selling merchandise such as smoothies, drinks, and Pro Shop items
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment
  • Performing facility upkeep and walkthroughs
  • Opening and closing the facility as scheduled
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures
Dress Code & Schedule

Employees should wear company staff shirts with khaki or black athletic pants, sneakers (no boots, heels, or open-toe shoes). Employees must be well-groomed. Opening shift employees should arrive 15 minutes early; closing employees should close at the scheduled time. No money counting until members leave and doors are locked.
