Job description

We are looking to hire a dynamic individual that is an outgoing people person! This person will lead the front office team as the Front Desk Manager.


Job Overview

Front Desk Manager is responsible for the following:

  1. Answer inquiries and check-in/out guests in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Oversee VIP and special guest requests.
  3. Follow and enforce hotel credit policies.
  4. Monitor guest feedback and GIS scores.
  5. Ensure the maximization of room revenue.
  6. Generate and update required reports, files, and checklists.
  7. Help maintain productivity levels at or above budgeted standards.
  8. Run room status reports and relay necessary information to affected departments.
  9. Assist in training and cross-training of new hires and current employees.
  10. Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow employees.
  11. Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and follow the rate-quoting scenario.
  12. Operate relevant aspects of the Front Desk property management system.
  13. Maintain inventory of front office supplies and purchase of supplies when necessary.
  14. Be knowledgeable of rates, packages, and promotions.
  15. Complete and/or ensure proper bucket checks are done each shift with room rate verification and housekeeping status report.

Mandatory Requirements:
  1. At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or customer service atmosphere.
  2. A High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  3. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  4. Ability to lift 15 pounds or less, stand on feet for long periods of time, and bend, crouch, reach with no difficulty.
  5. Reliable Transportation

Preferred Experience/Knowledge:
  1. Previous supervisory responsibility.
