Job summary

Family Support Services of Amarillo is seeking an As-Needed Customer Service Associate to support the Front Desk and intake processes on variable hours. Under supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health & Wellness, you will greet visitors, register clients, collect insurance information, issue receipts, and help with billing support while maintaining strict confidentiality.

This role requires teamwork, reliable attendance, ability to lift small items, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• High School diploma.
• Bilingual Spanish speaker is a plus.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
• Experience in customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Experience in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Answer the main Agency telephone and provide information/assistance; route calls to appropriate areas.
• Register clients for appointments, obtain insurance information, record services, issue receipts.
• Assist Billing Clerk with invoices/statements and collect intake documentation.
• Maintain front lobby area and prepare it for daily services.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Behavioral Health & Wellness.
