Job summary

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Brevard, NC is seeking a Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator to join our outpatient physical therapy team. You will be the first point of contact, handling front desk operations, scheduling, and patient coordination in a busy healthcare setting.

You will also cross-train to assist the clinical team as a PT Tech/Aide, supporting therapists and maintaining a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Medical Receptionist, Front Desk Coordinator, Patient Service Representative, or similar role preferred.
• Healthcare or medical office experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out.
• Schedule appointments and maintain provider schedules.
• Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and patient eligibility.
• Collect copays and patient balances accurately.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Answer calls and assist with scheduling needs.
• Keep the front office organized and running smoothly.
• Collaborate with therapists and clinical team for patient experience.
• Cross-train to support PT Tech/Aide responsibilities.
