Description

We are seeking a part-time Front Desk Coordinator floater to provide coverage throughout Central Suffolk and the East End of Long Island. Join a growing organization with a progressive, supportive, and innovative team!

Days & Hours: Monday - Friday 4pm-8pm, occasional weekend work as needed

Essential Functions:

  • Welcomes patients and visitors warmly, in person or on the phone, and manages inquiries.
  • Provides high-level customer service, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow.
  • Prepares reports, logs, and verifies authorizations with accuracy.
  • Handles co-pays, reconciles payments, and extends credit as appropriate.
  • Communicates with physicians for updated prescriptions and plans of care.
  • Registers new and returning patients, updating demographic and insurance information.
  • Maintains schedules, files, inventory, and equipment, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Ensures confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Assists with therapeutic exercises, prepares treatment rooms, and educates patients on equipment use.
  • Answers calls from providers, hospitals, and patients, maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Provides front desk coverage as needed, including scheduling and answering inquiries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Requirements:

  • One (1) year of medical office experience preferred.
  • Experience with EMR systems is a plus.
  • Professional, courteous communication skills.
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and quick learner of new programs.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
