Our group of physicians was formed in 2007 to bring together some of the most respected names in Arizona gastroenterology, setting a new standard of care. In October 2019, we partnered with GI Alliance to expand our impact across the Western United States.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Medical Front Desk Coordinator will manage the reception area, greet patients and visitors, and handle front office duties. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in a medical office, preferably in gastroenterology or internal medicine, with prior front office experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Greet patients and vendors
  • Check patients in and out
  • Take height and weight measurements
  • Schedule test procedures such as MRIs
  • Scan documents
  • Manage revenue cycle by collecting co-pays and past due balances
  • Support overall company goals
  • Perform additional duties as required
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Experience with EMR systems or Centricity PM preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Professional appearance and demeanor preferred
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years of experience in a medical office, front office, or scheduling
