Job description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Greet and register guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and close out guest accounts upon completion of stay.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Check guests in and out of room.
  2. Provide accurate and appropriate information to guests and customers.
  3. Greet and welcome guests, respond to requests and questions, providing accurate information.
  4. Input and retrieve information from computer systems, making appropriate room selections based on guest needs.
  5. Respond to guest requests, handle issues, or report complaints to management.
  6. Remain calm and alert during emergencies or busy periods.
  7. Answer phones professionally, input information into computers for requests and complaints.
  8. Answer questions about the hotel, area, or services.
  9. Handle customer concerns with patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts.
  10. Represent the hotel professionally and courteously.
  11. Follow all hotel policies, standards, and information protection procedures.
  12. Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
  13. Handle computer issues and make necessary adjustments.
  14. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.
  2. Cash handling experience preferred.
  3. Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  4. Attention to detail and basic math skills, including operation of a 10-key.
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle concerns positively.
  6. Ability to stand and move throughout the front office area.
  7. Good hearing and vision to observe emergencies.
  8. Ability to use computers accurately and efficiently.
  9. Excellent telephone etiquette.
  10. Professional appearance and demeanor.
