Front Desk Associate/Dog Daycare Playroom Attendant

Canine To Five is seeking energetic dog lovers to work at our busy dog daycare and boarding facility in Eastside Detroit, MI. We are looking for the right person to support both our furry and human clients.

Position Details:

  • Full-time (30+ hrs/week), including two weekends a month
  • No experience necessary—just a positive attitude, strong work ethic, quick learner, and love for dogs

Position Summary:

This role combines responsibilities of a Front Desk Associate (Client Experience Rep) and a Pack Leader. The Front Desk Associate is the friendly face clients see, responsible for client service, up-selling services, payment processing, clerical work, and dog escorting. The Pack Leader ensures safe group play for all dogs, demonstrating sound decision-making, confidence, and a love for dogs of all breeds and sizes.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, run, bend, and reach
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent decision-making, communication, and time management skills
  • Love and confidence working with dogs of all breeds and sizes
  • Willingness to work in outdoor environments and handle odors, waste, and high-stress situations
