Job description

Job Summary:
The Front Desk Associate at Bluefield Hotel is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests and ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process.

Responsibilities:
  1. Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude, providing a positive first impression of the hotel.
  2. Check-in and check-out guests, handling all aspects of their stay including room reservations, payment processing, and room key distribution.
  3. Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Process and address guest complaints and concerns, escalating to management as needed.
  5. Maintain a neat and organized front desk area, including managing inventory and stocking necessary supplies.
  6. Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  7. Follow all hotel policies and procedures, as well as safety and sanitation guidelines.
  8. Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, attractions, and local events to assist guests in planning their stay.
  9. Up-sell hotel services and amenities to guests when appropriate.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework or hospitality training preferred.
  2. Previous customer service experience preferred.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proficient in computer systems, including hotel reservation and payment platforms.
  5. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  7. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
