Planet Fitness in Hamden, CT is seeking a Front Desk Associate to greet members, handle inquiries, and process transactions with a friendly, professional demeanor. You will promote benefits and promotions while maintaining a clean, welcoming club environment.

Candidates should have 6 months of customer service in retail or 1 year in fitness, strong communication, and a self-motivated, energetic attitude. Flexible scheduling and rotating shifts are available.

• Six months face-to-face customer service experience in a retail environment or 1-year fitness experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with a friendly, courteous demeanor.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve member questions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist members in a friendly, confident manner.
• Provide telephone service and answer questions knowledgeably.
• Maintain club cleanliness for up to 50% of the shift and handle transactions (payments, receipts, change).
• Promote Planet Fitness products and promotions to drive revenue.
• Respond to member needs and resolve concerns to ensure a positive experience.

The Front Desk Associate must be adept at balancing multiple tasks with a friendly, courteous demeanor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Welcome and exit members in a confident, professional, and friendly manner with hellos and goodbyes.Anticipate member's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all membersProvide gracious and efficient telephone service. Calls should be answered promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information.Utilize strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve customer concerns, ensuring a pleasant experience.Ability to maintain the cleanliness of the club for up to 50% of the shift.Deliver prompt, efficient customer service while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced retail environment.Hands-on experience in accepting payments from customers and give change and receipts.Drive revenue by communicating and demonstrating benefits of products and special promotions to customers.Proven ability to answer customers' questions and give information regarding the business procedures and policies in an exact and customer-friendly wayMinimum SkillsAbility to manage multiple responsibilitiesSolid work ethic with strong decision-making, problem resolution skillsSelf-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction and supervisionComfortable working a flexible rotating scheduleSuperior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic!Physical Requirements: Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel.
