The role…

At Soho House, the Front Desk Agent assists with checking members in to the property and hotel guests into their rooms, streamlining inquiries, managing risks, and handling other matters that arise. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for receiving payments and balancing cash at the end of a shift. You should be familiar with the property layout, special offers, restaurant/F&B options, and amenities such as the gym, spa, and shared workspace.

A successful Front Desk Agent is hospitable, proactive, capable of multitasking, and maintains professionalism in demanding and fast-paced environments.

Main Duties
  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for members, guests, and staff, ensuring all visitors receive top-notch service from entry to departure.
  2. Perform concierge duties including booking cars, tickets, restaurant, and spa reservations.
  3. Answer emails and inquiries via digital portals; handle printing/scanning documents for members and guests.
  4. Stay updated on operational hours, reservation policies, and communicate changes to all departments.
  5. Handle accounting inquiries, including billing, receipts, refunds, and safe-keeping of lost credit cards.
  6. Discuss amenities, room types, rates, and availability, and suggest preferences to enhance revenue and guest experience.
  7. Support members and guests with valet and luggage storage via support staff.
  8. Participate in daily shift briefings with good phone etiquette and team collaboration.
Required Skills/Qualifications
  1. At least 1 year of experience in a similar or customer-facing role.
  2. Ability to multitask, handle high-volume calls, and respond professionally and promptly.
  3. Familiarity with systems like OpenTable, Salesforce, Google Sheets, or Opera.
  4. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  5. Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  6. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to work on your feet for at least 8 hours and handle objects with hands.
  2. Capability to move quickly around the club and lift at least 40 pounds.
  3. Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing.
