Overview

The Front Office Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Responsibilities
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  • Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
  • Be aware of all rates, packages, and promotions as listed in the Red Book.
  • Familiarize with all in-house groups and restricted dates.
  • Obtain necessary reservation information and follow rate-quoting procedures.
  • Understand hospitality terminology and emergency procedures.
  • Handle check-ins and checkouts courteously and efficiently.
  • Use proper radio etiquette when communicating with staff.
  • Operate all relevant front desk systems proficiently.
  • Complete shift tasks promptly, including reports and paperwork.
  • Maintain and promote hotel promotions and guest programs.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist guests with safe deposit boxes.
Qualifications
