Job Summary

As a Guest Services Agent, you will be responsible for checking guests in and out, providing excellent customer service in a professional and courteous manner, and ensuring each guest’s visit is outstanding. You will also handle guest inquiries and concerns, offering the best resolutions possible.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Serve as a concierge, assisting with restaurant reservations, directions, and local attractions; familiarize yourself with the property’s rooms, rates, and amenities.
  2. Review reservation statuses, present options to guests, and use suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and services.
  3. Handle guest registration, assign rooms, generate room keys, and assist with special requests; monitor reservations and understand cancellation procedures.
  4. Verify payment methods, adhere to credit and cash handling policies, and process charges and deposits accurately.
  5. Input guest information into the PMS system, maintain a clean front desk, and coordinate with other departments for guest needs.
  6. Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and address guest requests promptly.
  7. Attend departmental meetings, adapt to shift changes as needed, and stay informed about daily activities.
  8. Report unusual occurrences, understand safety procedures, and contribute to a safe environment.
  9. Perform additional duties to ensure guest satisfaction.
Professional Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data entry/database management.
Industry Experience
  • Understanding of the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Guest Services Agent is advantageous.
Required Skills
  • Experience with front office equipment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, and overnights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 40 lbs.
