Ascent Hospitality is seeking a qualified hospitality leader to be our Front Desk Agent.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Completing all activities listed in the Front Desk checklist.
  2. Performing marketing duties such as upselling to generate revenue.
  3. Providing excellent service and satisfaction to guests and visitors.
  4. Following security and liability measures to protect hotel assets.

Essential Functions:

  1. Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
  2. Greet guests warmly and respond to requests professionally.
  3. Follow brand standards and loyalty programs.
  4. Provide information about the hotel, rooms, rates, and amenities.
  5. Maximize occupancy and revenue through operational and selling techniques.
  6. Complete registration and check-out processes accurately.
  7. Handle payments securely and maintain cash bank according to policies.
  8. Communicate effectively with hotel departments and management.
  9. Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room availability.
  10. Manage group reservations and special guest experiences.
  11. Adhere to safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  12. Operate front office systems and respond to guest inquiries via phone.
  13. Address guest complaints professionally and promptly.
  14. Work flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous hotel front desk experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and office equipment.
  • Ability to understand and speak English fluently.
  • Customer service skills and ability to work independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Six months of related experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing for long periods, repetitive use of arms and hands, and walking.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Visual acuity and ability to operate in stressful situations.
