Role Purpose

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Front Desk Agent, you’ll handle transactions, offer local insights, and anticipate every detail for a smooth stay. You’ll also create a warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide a warm welcome to guests, starting their memorable experience.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests in person or on the phone.
• Manage guest bookings, upselling opportunities, and inform guests about ways to enhance their stay.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Check guests in and out efficiently, including taking IDs, issuing room keys, and managing safety deposit boxes.
• Record guest preferences and respond to messages, requests, questions, and concerns proactively.
• Assist guests with billing issues and provide local knowledge, involving management when necessary.
• Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and wear protective gear as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.
• Stay informed about daily events and activities.
• Assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties as needed.

Key Skills & Experiences

• Excellent communication skills to address guest concerns and compliments.
• Problem-solving skills to turn issues into positive experiences.
• Fluency in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, basic math, and computer skills.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus but not required.
• At least one year of experience in front desk or guest service roles preferred.
• Physical strength to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs, with bending and kneeling involved.

The hourly pay range for this role is $20.73 to $22.00. This applies only for jobs in Torrance, CA. The actual pay may vary based on several factors, including experience, qualifications, and organizational needs. Pay is considered earned only when vested and payable.
