Location

Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center (OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center, and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), a specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), a coffee shop (Park Grounds), and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Guests can enjoy Mokara Spa, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) with a fire pit, outdoor lawn, and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 20,000 square foot ballroom, a 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space overlooking the park.

Job Description

Omni Oklahoma City is seeking a high-energy, friendly, welcoming Full-Time Front Desk Agent to join our upscale hotel team. This team member will provide a five-star welcome and departure experience to each guest, acting as an ambassador throughout their stay. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, providing hotel and local area information, offering our amenities and services, settling accounts upon check-out, resolving guest issues, and handling special requests. The role involves close collaboration with departments such as Concierge, Bell-Door, and Ideal Services.

Responsibilities

  1. Process guest check-ins and check-outs according to Omni’s Moments of Service and Standard Operating Procedures.
  2. Listen empathetically to guest inquiries and respond appropriately.
  3. Set up accurate accounts based on guest preferences (room type, payment, etc.).
  4. Block rooms and follow through on requirements.
  5. Pre-register guests and prepare key packets.
  6. Communicate guest requests and important information to relevant departments.
  7. Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
  8. Ensure security of guest room access with attention to detail.
  9. Execute all accounting standards for accurate settlement of folios and charges.
  10. Maintain guest history files.
  11. Handle room changes efficiently.
  12. Document guest requests or complaints and follow up for resolution and satisfaction.
  13. Issue and secure safe deposit boxes.
  14. Manage guest faxes and generate reports.
  15. Resolve discrepancies with Housekeeping.
  16. Stay informed of hotel features, services, and promotions.

Qualifications

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  2. Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
  3. Ability to work well with colleagues and guests.
  4. Mathematical proficiency.
  5. Quick thinking and decision-making skills.
  6. Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and stand for long periods.
  8. Previous customer service and hotel front desk experience preferred.
  9. Cashiering experience and fluency in a foreign language are advantages.
  10. Guest relations training preferred.
