Overview

The Front Office Agent provides attentive, courteous, and efficient service during guest check-in, stay, and checkout, aiming to maximize room revenue and occupancy.

Responsibilities
  1. Answer guest inquiries about restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  2. Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
  3. Be aware of all rates, packages, and promotions.
  4. Familiarize with in-house groups and restricted dates.
  5. Gather necessary reservation information and follow rate-quoting procedures.
  6. Understand hospitality terminology and emergency procedures.
  7. Handle check-ins and checkouts courteously and efficiently.
  8. Use radio etiquette when communicating with staff.
  9. Operate the Front Desk computer system proficiently.
  10. Complete shift duties promptly, including reports and paperwork.
  11. Maintain promotional materials and guest programs.
  12. Keep work area clean and assist with safe deposit boxes.
Qualifications
  1. College coursework in related fields is helpful.
  2. Previous hotel or related experience preferred.
  3. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  4. Computer skills required.
  5. Customer service experience preferred.
  6. Maintain a friendly demeanor and effective communication skills.
  7. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
  8. Attend regularly as per hotel standards.
  9. Present a professional appearance and follow safety regulations.
  10. Show initiative and problem-solving skills.
  11. Cross-train in other hotel areas as needed.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
