Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Milwaukee, is seeking a Front Desk Agent for the Hilton Milwaukee. The role involves greeting guests, checking in/out, and handling requests with courtesy to ensure a superior guest experience.

• Maintain accurate cash handling and house bank duties.

Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, The Hilton Milwaukee is not only the city’s largest hotel but also a historic gem.

What you will be doing:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel.
• Check guests in and out of rooms.
• Input and retrieve information routinely from computer system to communicate guest requests. Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests' needs.
• Effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
• Respond to guest requests and questions regarding area or hotel, outlet information and services as well as handle guest issues and report complaints to management.
• Promptly answer the phone in a professional and clear manner.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy including responsibility for House Bank.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Excellent customer service skills and communication are required.
• Previous hotel, receptionist, customer service, front desk or administrative experience preferred.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies.
