The Club Host plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for all members and guests. This position serves as the first point of contact at the Club, providing exceptional customer service during check-in, check-out, and throughout the guest stay, while upholding the Club’s service and hospitality standards.
Greet members and guests promptly with a warm and sincere welcome.
Check guests in and out efficiently and courteously, confirming reservations, room rates, and method of payment.
Provide accurate information about Club amenities, events, services, and local attractions.
Knowledge of Opera Cloud- Not required but preferred.
Respond promptly to member and guest requests, questions, and concerns with professionalism and care.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of current room rates, packages, and promotions.
Handle all cash, credit card, and check transactions accurately; balance the assigned cash drawer at the end of each shift.
Process guest payments, vouchers, and adjustments as needed.
Issue and program room keys; ensure confidentiality and security of all guest information.
Answer phone calls courteously, transfer calls appropriately, and relay messages accurately.
Retrieve and distribute mail, packages, and faxes to guests as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area.
Communicate effectively with other departments (Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Food & Beverage) to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures as required by the Club.
Complete shift checklists and reports accurately and on time.
Uphold the Club’s values and service standards at all times.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of customer service or front desk experience preferred (hospitality or club environment a plus).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Proficient in computer systems and ability to learn property management software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
Reliable and punctual attendance required.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Light work: may occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
Frequent walking, bending, and use of hands to operate computers and office equipment.
