Job Overview

The Front Desk Agent will greet and register guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and close out guest accounts, maintaining Five Star Service Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and sincerely.
  • Communicate clearly, listen to requests, and provide accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Complete guest registration efficiently using computer systems, confirming details like guest count and room rate.
  • Answer phone calls professionally.
  • Manage guest messages, mail, packages, and facsimiles.
  • Handle guest complaints, research solutions, and negotiate outcomes.
  • Resolve issues such as pricing discrepancies or room comfort problems.
  • Take ownership of guest challenges, ensuring satisfaction, and remaining calm during emergencies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Front Desk Manager.

Qualifications

  • Experience with property management software like OPERA is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work well with a team and exercise sound judgment.
  • Self-motivated with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English; second language skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
