About the role

GO DOG Durham, a premier dog daycare and boarding kennel, is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, hospitality-minded Customer Service Specialists to join our front desk team. We are looking for reliable, organized individuals with a passion for elevated customer service and hands‑on animal care.

The ideal candidate is friendly, warm, courteous, and professional, with the ability to interact confidently with people of all ages, as well as dogs and cats. A strong work ethic, upbeat attitude, and attention to detail are essential.

Position Overview

This is a hands‑on position that supports the daily flow of business while delivering an exceptional experience for clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Providing outstanding customer service and exceeding client expectations
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and front desk area
• Following all standard operating procedures
• Managing check‑ins, scheduling, and POS transactions
• Handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels, including large and boisterous dogs
• Assisting with animal care, including cat care
• Communicating clearly and professionally with clients and team members

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with dogs and/or cats
• Comfort handling large, energetic dogs
• Prior hotel front desk, reception, scheduling, or check‑in desk experience is a plus
• Basic canine behavior knowledge

What to Expect When Applying

• An in‑person interview to meet the team, tour the location, and get a glimpse of what your day‑to‑day will be like.
• Orientation and training classes covering company policies, procedures, dog body language, and behavior.
