Position Summary

The Personality position is primarily responsible for taking orders for food, aiding in the ordering of food, and acting as a cashier at the front counter or drive-thru window. This position also supports all activities in the dining/front area of the restaurant.

Primary Responsibilities

The following duties are representative but not exhaustive:

1. Greet guests and assist with product selections at the counter or drive-thru.
2. Recommend products and promote specials, food contents, and appetizers.
3. Verify legal age for alcohol purchases by checking IDs.
4. Perform cashier duties, including totaling orders, handling payments, and giving change.
5. Prepare drinks, salads, trays, etc., as ordered.
6. Inform guests about service procedures, including dining options and facilities.
7. Deliver orders to guests and check for satisfaction.
8. Manage drive-thru order dispatch.
9. Serve as host/hostess during high capacity, including managing reservations and wait times.
10. Restock and clean front counter and drive-thru areas, maintain cleanliness of restrooms, and perform general cleaning duties.
11. Answer phones professionally and respond to inquiries.

Skills and Experience

• Ability to follow instructions and solve basic problems.
• Basic arithmetic skills, including handling money.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, menus, and labels.
• Basic communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Previous experience not required.

Licenses/Certificates

• May require Food Handler’s permit, Foodservice Sanitation Certification, or other local permits.

Physical Demands

• Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force, perform standing, walking, and other physical activities for extended periods, including 8-12 hour shifts and split shifts.

Working Conditions

• Mostly indoor environment, with occasional exposure to heat, water, and cleaning chemicals.

Tools and Equipment

• Carryout containers, cash registers, computers, cleaning tools, etc.
