Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide to join our patient-focused team. You will provide personal care, assist with daily activities, move and reposition residents, and support the nursing staff with vital signs and documentation.

This role emphasizes respectful, dignified resident interactions, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. A High School Diploma and CNA training completed within 4 months of hire are required; vaccination

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of our free Certified Nurse Aide course required within 4 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Become a trusted companion to our residents by providing compassionate personal care assistance—think of yourself as their go-to helper for daily activities like bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Keep our residents comfortable and happy by helping them move around safely, whether that’s assisting with walking, transfers, or positioning
• Be the friendly face that makes a difference—chat with residents, listen to their stories, and help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the day
• Support our nursing team by taking vital signs, reporting changes in resident conditions, and keeping detailed records (we’ll train you on all of this!)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident rooms and common areas—because a tidy space is a happy space
• Jump in as a team player by helping with meal service, laundry, and other tasks that keep our community running smoothly
• Respond promptly to resident requests and call lights—your quick response makes all the difference in their day
• Respect resident privacy and dignity in everything you do—it’s at the heart of what we do here

Are you Munson Material?

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
