Job summary

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is seeking a Fright Fest Haunt Technician to operate and maintain the haunted house, assist with load in/out for Fright Fest 2026, and perform daily checks and repairs to ensure guest safety.

The role requires weekend/evening shifts, 25–30 hours weekly, and potential overtime. Candidates should have a HS diploma, theater background, and experience in entertainment/theme parks.

Qualifications

• HS diploma; Theater background preferred.
• Experience in the Entertainment/Theme Park Industry preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings; varying shifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational duties to assist the department in the run of the assigned haunt.
• Monitor guest activities in haunts on CCTV systems.
• Perform a daily inspection of all scenic elements, lighting systems and special effects.
• Repair and correct any issues quickly and safely to ensure a safe guest experience.
• Assist the technical services team in daily operational duties including fog machine refill, lighting check and scenic checks.
• Communicate with the stage management and production management team on any issues or safety concerns or issues.
• Responsible for the daily sign off checklists for assigned haunt.
• Assist the Technical Services Team with Load in, setup and load out of Fright Fest 2026.
• Adheres to safe work practices and policies that further the safety culture of the department and park.
• Must be available for all scheduled technical rehearsals.
• Must be available for all Fright Fest Operating Days.

Fright Fest Haunt Technician

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay Rate: $12-$15/hr.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is looking for organized and dedicated individual to join the Entertainment Technical Services Team. This position will be required to operate and maintain a given Haunted House, assist with the load in and set up of Fright Fest 2026, perform daily operational checks/repairs and assist with other department related tasks. This individual will work closely with the technical services team to ensure the smooth daily operation of the assigned haunt and assigned park zones. This position is required to work all Fright Fest operating days which includes Fridays- Sundays with additional operational days. This position will work varying shifts and will occasionally be available special event days and overnight shifts as assigned. This position will require a minimum of 25-30 hours a week with occasional opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, Theater background preferred
• Previous experience in the Entertainment/Theme Park Industry preferred
• Strong motivated team player with a strong ability to multi-task
• Strong verbal, written communication skills
• Must be able to work on projects independently and in group settings
• Ability to work a variety of hours or shift, including weekends and evenings
• Willingness to cross train for other operational departments and assist same during specific key periods
• Ensure compliance w/ standard operating procedures, park policies, and regulations
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
