Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ankeny, IA is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to help manage daily store operations, assist customers and donors, and process sales at the POS. You will also help with pricing, stocking, and maintaining a clean shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or currently pursuing.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor and donor interactions.
• Operate the Point of Sale system to complete sales transactions and manage cash.
• Assist with merchandise production, pricing, stocking, and ensuring a clean, organized shopping and donation experience.
• Move donated goods from receiving through processing and onto the sales floor as needed.
• Follow store procedures for opening/closing, cash handling, and donor communications.
• Support flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
