Job summary

ShopRite of Center Square in Woolwich, NJ is seeking a Cashier to deliver a great customer experience at the front end. You will accurately scan, price and bag products, collect payments, and provide proper change while offering friendly service.

The role requires standing for long shifts and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Minimum qualifications include strong English reading/writing, basic math, and teamwork; 18+ to operate certain equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a great customer experience at the checkout.
• Scan, price and bag products accurately.
• Process payments (cash, cards, checks, EBT, WIC, coupons, etc.).
• Provide correct change and assist customers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Stand at the register for long periods and work with others.
