Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to deliver welcome, knowledgeable service in the Fresh departments. You will build positive connections with customers, share product knowledge, and maintain attractive displays while stocking and merchandising to standard.

You’ll also use store technology to complete tasks accurately and follow safety procedures. Previous retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
