Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a checker in the Northern Kentucky area of the United States. The role emphasizes friendly customer service, accurate checkout, and proper handling of coupons and payments. Training will be provided at store level, with emphasis on cash handling, register accuracy, and maintaining security.

The position requires reliable attendance, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and standing for 4–8 hours per shift. Internal candidates may have preferred consideration.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide friendly, courteous customer service.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Greet customers prior to checking their order.
• Check out customer’s purchases accurately.
• Identify produce items and use produce and product codes.
• Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons; process coupons.
• Collect correct amount due from customer; process various payments (cash, checks, credit/debit, EBT, WIC).
• Complete register records accurately; maintain cash security.
• Bag customer orders; change receipt and coupon tapes as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned by store management.
