Job summary

Schnucks is hiring for a checker responsible for delivering friendly, courteous service while handling payments at the register. You will greet customers, scan items, and ensure accurate checkout.

You will learn to distinguish Schnucks coupons from manufacturer coupons, process payments (cash, checks, debit, credit, EBT, WIC), and maintain register records with attention to cash security.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Must be reliable with excellent attendance.
• Ability to greet customers and provide courteous service.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Greet customers prior to checking their order and greet at checkout.
• Check out customer purchases accurately and process payments.
• Identify produce items and use produce/product codes correctly.
• Distinguish Schnucks coupons from manufacturer coupons and process them.
• Collect correct amount due and handle various payment methods.
