Job summary

Bomgaars in North Vernon, IN is hiring a friendly cashier full-time onsite. You will greet customers, operate the register, handle transactions, and help with bagging and returns.

This role requires 18+, cash/retail experience preferred, ability to multi-task, stay organized, and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible scheduling including weekends and evenings is available, with a weekend shift premium.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Cashier and retail experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Detail oriented.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time.
• Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Must be available to work flexible schedules - days, evenings, weekends (shift premium paid for working weekends)

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately (cash, correct change, credit cards, debit cards, and checks)
• Scan and bag items for customers
• Process customer returns and exchanges according to store policy
• Promote store loyalty programs/special promotions/coupon redemption
• Balance cash drawers at the end of the shift
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area
• Handling phone calls
