Roadrunner Markets in Jonesborough, TN is seeking a friendly Cashier/Sales Associate for Store 6003. The role involves running the register, stocking shelves, cleaning, and delivering great customer service in a fast-paced convenience store environment.

The position offers both full-time and part-time schedules with a second shift (1pm–10pm) and opportunities for advancement. Prior retail experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Age must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand and work for long periods in varying conditions.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide) required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Friendly and positive demeanor.
• Detail-oriented with attention to store standards.
• Reliable, punctual and responsible.
• Flexible to take on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and operate the register accurately and quickly.
• Become knowledgeable in lottery, cigarette and alcohol sales while complying with age verification rules.
• Provide friendly service and upsell to increase sales when possible.
• Keep store clean and safe inside and out, including bathrooms, pumps and lot areas.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to maintain fresh, inviting merchandise.
• Maintain a neat, organized store and assist with cross-training in other departments.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and assist wherever needed.
