Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a cashier to ensure every customer exits with a positive checkout experience and great value. You'll handle payments, assist with exchanges, and help customers find products, all while delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced store environment.

Most time is spent at the register, with opportunities to assist other departments, stock, and move carts. Eligible associates gain health, education, retirement, and purchase benefits plus discounts.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic required.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information).
• Must lift 10 lbs unassisted or over 15 lbs with or without accommodation.
• May require sales-related licensure or registration as mandated by state law.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
