Job summary

Lowe's in Lexington, VA is seeking a part-time cashier to provide fast, friendly checkout and assist customers with payments and exchanges. You’ll help customers find value, answer questions, and keep the register area clean and organized.

Most time is at the register, with opportunities to help in other departments as needed. Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus, and bilingual skills are welcome to better serve diverse customers.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
