Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tender types (cash, checks, card, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Follow cash-handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Adhere to restrictions on sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons where applicable.
• Stay current with ads and promotions and drive upsell where appropriate.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures; report unsafe conditions.
