Hy-Vee is seeking a Checker in the Grocery department, hourly with night and weekend shifts. You will operate the register, assist customers throughout the store, and help ensure every visit ends on a positive note. No formal education required; training provided.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling payments, and following safety and policy guidelines. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and excellent service to support store promotions and daily operations.

• Accurate arithmetic and handling of cash, checks, cards and discounts

Responsabilités

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers
• Operate the cash register and process payments including cash, checks, cards, coupons, and benefits
• Count change, issue receipts, and handle refunds or credits as needed
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines for tobacco, liquor, WIC, and related items
• Assist in stocking, shelf rotation, and merchandise lookup
• Support drives for promotions and special events and maintain store cleanliness
