The role requires accurate cash handling, product scanning, and adherence to store policies, including the handling of coupons and various payment methods. You will greet customers, answer questions, and help maintain a clean, organized checkout area.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
• Perform arithmetic calculations with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; collect and provide identifying information.
• Good depth perception and vision requirements.
• Work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exercise good judgment when supervision is limited.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
• Greet customers and assist in-store as needed.
• Operate cash register and scan products.
• Redeem coupons, food stamps, WIC checks; handle cash and transactions; issue receipts.
• Stock and face merchandise; keep shelves neat and tracked.
• Answer questions and escalate as needed.
• Follow policies on tobacco, liquor, WIC and food stamp compliance.
• Maintain register area and store appearance.
