Job summary

Relativity in Long Beach, California is seeking a dedicated team member to join the Stage Manufacturing team. You will assist in operating equipment for material joining processes, upholding safety and cleanliness standards, and working closely with engineers to enhance production efficiency.

This role involves working on the 2nd shift with a standard schedule of 50 hours per week, with competitive hourly compensation ranging from $22.80 to $31.35 USD. Relativity also offers generous benefits including PTO, parental leave, and learning stipends.

Qualifications

• Experience with material joining processes (friction stir welding, arc welding, soldering, brazing).
• Experience with metal fabrication techniques (forming, bending).
• Proficiency with common hand and inspection tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or team communication tools such as Slack.

Responsibilities

• Assist in FSW operations, including running equipment, prepping welds, and post-welding blending.
• Complete standard lift operations or assist in critical lift operations.
• Perform precision blending/deburring with power and hand tools.
• Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and tape measure.
• Uphold high safety and shop cleanliness standards.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all team members.

Location: Long Beach, California

About the Team

The Stage Manufacturing team turns design into reality, owning the build of Terran R’s primary structures. Engineers and technicians work side by side to solve challenges in real time, optimizing for scale and continuously improving processes. As the vehicle evolves, the factory will adopt automation, machine learning, and advanced technologies.

Shift Information

This is a 2nd shift position with a standard schedule of 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM PT, Monday through Friday, with a 10% shift differential on top of the base rate. The role is structured around a baseline expectation of a 50‑hour workweek, including occasional overtime.

Compensation

Hiring Range: $22.80 – $31.35 USD per hour.
