Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Stage Manufacturing technician to operate friction stir welding processes, prep welds, and support post weld blending on the Terran R program. This 1st shift role runs 5:00am-3:30pm PT, Monday–Friday, with a baseline 50-hour week and potential overtime.

You will work alongside engineers and technicians to optimize build efficiency, perform lift operations, inspections with micrometers and calipers, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards in a

Qualifications

2+ years' experience with friction stir welding.
1+ years' experience with crane and rigging operations.
Proficient in the use of common hand tools and inspection tools.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or other team communication tools such as Slack (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Run equipment, prep welds for welding, and post weld blending.
Complete standard lift operations or assist in critical lift operations.
Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and pi tape.
Uphold Relativity Space safety and shop cleanliness standards.
Foster an inclusive environment for all team members.
