Qualifications
- ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years in maintenance/troubleshooting
- Experience operating/maintaining friction stir welding equipment (I-STIR) or MTS servohydraulic systems
- US citizenship is required for this position
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair and control hydraulically-powered friction stir welding and friction pull plug welding machines
- Identify root causes of failures and perform required repairs or intermediate solutions
- Document problems, investigative methods and corrective actions and communicate results
- Develop spare part lists and secure replacements as needed
- Train personnel to operate these machines and potentially plan/execute projects
