Southington High School seeks a wrestling coach to support and direct student-athletes under the Head Coach. Responsibilities include teaching skills, practice planning, promoting sportsmanship, and preparing teams for contests.

LOCATION: Southington High School

SALARY: $4,131.00 – $5,296.00 stipend

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: To assist and direct students participating in the sport of wrestling under the direction of the Head Coach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, instruction and practice of skills and techniques; sportsmanship; contest preparation with applied knowledge of field hockey concepts and strategies; purchasing, scheduling, supervising and record keeping.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a CT coaching permit; have a current CPR and First Aid card and have CT Coaching Education Program (CCEP) Module 15-Concussion and Head Injury education. Candidate should have thorough knowledge of the sport / activity and demonstrate technical and tactical knowledge of the sport. Ability to motivate high school student athletes. Consideration shall be given to past coaching experience.
