Job summary

Utica Community Schools is seeking a Freshman Boys Basketball Coach at Utica High School. The coach will oversee the program and ensure compliance with Board of Education, district, building and MHSAA rules.

The role demands coordination of in-season and off-season activities, including practices and camps, and a commitment to student athletes’ physical, emotional and academic development.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience required.
• CPR, concussion certification and AED training required.
• Possess strong character and the ability to build relationships with team members and parents.
• Willingness and desire to participate in all aspects of program development.
• Michigan Teacher’s Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the athletic program per policies.
• Coordinate in-season and off-season team activities including practices, player development, off-season workouts and camps.
• Support the physical, emotional and academic development of student athletes.
