Job summary

Divine Child High School in Dearborn, MI, is seeking a Freshman Boys Basketball Assistant Coach to support daily practices, assist in equipment distribution, and help develop game strategies under the Head Varsity Coach.

The role requires after-school availability, Saturday shifts, and adherence to league rules; applicants should have playing experience at varsity/club/college levels, strong interpersonal skills, and be willing to complete required trainings and background checks.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of the technical aspect of basketball.
• Applicants must have playing experience at the high school varsity, club, or college level.
• Familiarity with the Catholic High School League and knowledge of MHSAA organizations preferred; willing to meet league/state coaching requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes and parents.
• Must take Protecting God's Children workshop, background check, and digital fingerprints.
• After school availability (3:00 pm or after) for practices and events.
• Saturday availability during season.
