Job summary

East Haven Public Schools is seeking a dedicated athletics coach for East Haven High School. The role includes providing practice, support and guidance to student-athletes to compete effectively during the season.

Applicants must hold CT State coaching certification, CPR and First Aid, with a minimum of three years coaching at high school or middle school level. The stipend is $5,867.00 with duties from 2-10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, starting November 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• CT State coaching certification required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years coaching experience at high school or middle school level.
• Knowledge of CIAC rules and regulations.
• Must be able to meet all practice times and bus trips.
• Must pass all local and federal background checks.
• Work schedule includes Mon-Sat from 2–10 p.m. and perform all duties.

Responsibilities

• Working with students interested in sports, a coach provides the necessary practice, support and advice for the team to be successful against opposing teams in a sports season.
• Ensure adherence to CIAC rules and regulations.
• Manage practice times and travel logistics when needed.
