Job summary

East Haven Public Schools seeks a coach to work with students in Athletics/Activities. The role requires CT 600 certification, CPR and First Aid, plus a minimum of three years coaching at high school or middle school level. Applicants must manage practice times and bus trips and pass background checks.

Position starts March 1, 2027, with stipend of $3,998.00 and 2-10 p.m. work hours, Monday through Saturday when needed. This is an on-site coaching assignment at East Haven High School.

Qualifications

• The following candidates must be Department of Education 600 Certified.
• A minimum of 3 years High School or Middle School coaching experience.
• Have current CPR and First Aid and CT coaching certification.
• Knowledge of CIAC rules and regulations.
• Candidates must be able to make all practice times and bus trips.
• Must pass all local and federal background checks.
• Applicants must be able to work between Monday through Saturday from 2-10 p.m. and perform all physical duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Working with students interested in sports, a coach provides the necessary practice, support and advice for the team to be successful against opposing teams in a sports season.
