Job summary

El Super is seeking a Seafood Clerk in Riverside to deliver friendly, courteous service while managing the seafood displays and assisting customers. The role supports cleanliness, rotation, and proper stocking of seafood items in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Under direct supervision, you will set up, maintain and clean seafood displays, rotate products, and lift up to 50 lbs. A Food Handler Card is required, with basic PC/Outlook skills preferred. Starting rate is $16.90 per hour.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to: preparation, handling and serving food.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service.
• Assists the customers, sets up, maintains and cleans the seafood display cases.
• Cleans, fills and rotates the seafood displays.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged period of times.
